Description

Light gets in. That is why you are awake at 5am.

Most eye masks sit flat against your face. They press on your eyelids, they leave a gap either side of your nose, and the first hint of morning light comes straight through it. You end up half awake long before you meant to be.

The Silk Sleep Mask is shaped to close that gap.

A nose bridge you actually mould

A soft wire runs along the top edge. Place the mask, pinch it to the shape of your own nose, and it seals. That one bend is the difference between a mask that blocks most light and one that blocks it, whether that is sunlight through a gap in the curtains, a streetlamp or a screen.

No pressure on your eyes

The panel is contoured rather than flat, so it sits over your eye sockets instead of on them. You can blink freely underneath, and nothing presses on your lashes or your eyelids all night.

Silk, because your eye skin is thin

  • 100% mulberry silk. Smooth against the thinnest skin on your face, so you wake up without creases pressed into it.
  • Breathable. It does not trap heat against you the way a padded foam mask does.
  • Adjustable strap. Gathered elastic that holds without gripping, and does not knot your hair.

Five colours

Green, Black, Beige, Light Blue and Dark Blue. Same silk, same fit, same guarantee.

Seals out light

Mouldable nose bridge.

In use

See it in use

Photographed as it is actually worn, on a real pillow, in real morning light.

The Silk Sleep Mask in Dark Blue, worn asleep on a linen pillow

Dark Blue

Turn into the pillow and the shell keeps its shape. The seal holds because the wire holds, not because the strap is pulled tight.

The Silk Sleep Mask in Beige, worn against a silk pillowcase

Beige

Silk against silk. Nothing drags at the skin around your eyes and nothing pulls your hair out of place while you move.

Place the mask, pinch the nose bridge, and it seals out light
The seal

It seals to your nose

Every flat mask leaves the same gap either side of the bridge of your nose, and that is where the morning gets in. A soft wire runs along the top edge. Place it, pinch it once, and it holds the shape of your face for the rest of the night.

one pinch, then forget it

The material

100% mulberry silk

The skin around your eyes is the thinnest on your face, and it creases against anything that drags. Silk does not drag. It stays cool, it does not pull at your lashes, and you wake up without the night pressed into your face.

The Nook mask vs a basic eye mask

Most eye masks are two bits of polyester and a length of elastic. They block some light, press on your eyelids, and crease your skin while they do it.

Questions

Before you buy

Will it actually block all the light?
The wire is the reason it can. Pinch it to the shape of your nose and the gap that every flat mask leaves closes up. That gap is where sunlight, a streetlamp or a partner's screen gets in.
Will it press on my eyes?
No. The shell is contoured rather than flat, so it sits over your eye sockets instead of on them. You can blink freely underneath and nothing rests on your lashes.
Does it stay on all night?
The strap is gathered elastic rather than a thin cord, so it spreads the tension and holds without gripping. It is also soft enough that it will not knot your hair overnight.
Can I wash it?
Hand wash it cool and dry it flat, away from direct heat. It is real silk, so treat it the way you would a silk pillowcase rather than putting it through a hot cycle.
Will it make me too warm?
Silk breathes and sits cool against the skin, which is the main reason to choose it over a padded foam mask. Foam traps heat against your face, silk does not.
What if it does not work for me?
Thirty nights, full refund, free returns. No return fee and you do not need the original box.
