Description

Dead arm at 3am. Numb hip by morning. Sound familiar?

If you sleep on your side, your bed is working against you. A flat pillow lets your top shoulder roll forward and collapse. Your top leg drags your hips out of line and twists your lower back. You spend the night quietly compensating, and you feel it the moment you wake up.

The Nook is shaped to stop that happening.

One curve, three jobs

Most body pillows are a straight tube that stops at the knee. The Nook is a double curve, so it carries three points at the same time and your spine stays neutral from your neck to your knees.

  • Shoulder. Fills the gap under your arm so your top shoulder stops collapsing across your chest. That collapse is what pins the nerve and gives you the dead arm.
  • Hips. Carries the weight of your top leg so your pelvis stays square instead of rotating open and dragging your lower back with it.
  • Knees. Holds the line between your legs so your knees stop pressing together, which is where a lot of morning stiffness starts.

Made to actually be slept on

  • Soft fibre fill. Holds its shape and flexes as you move rather than locking you into one position.
  • Breathable cover. Light and airy rather than the dense, heat-trapping feel of solid foam.
  • Removable washable cover. Unzips so you can keep it clean without replacing the pillow.
  • Not a maternity pillow. Full body support without the bulk of an oversized U-shape taking over the bed.

Three colours

Powder Blue, Dove Grey and Blush Pink. Same curve, same fill, same guarantee.

The mechanism

Three points,
held at once

A flat pillow only holds your head. Everything below your neck is left to fend for itself.

1The Nook filling the gap under the shoulder

Shoulder

Fills the gap under your arm so your top shoulder stops collapsing across your chest. That collapse is what pins the nerve and gives you the dead arm.

2The Nook carrying the weight of the top leg

Hips

Carries the weight of your top leg so your pelvis stays level instead of rotating open and dragging your lower back with it.

3The Nook holding the line between the knees

Knees

Holds the line between your legs so your knees stop pressing together, which is where a lot of morning stiffness actually starts.

The Nook measures about 105cm long and 30cm across
The size

Long enough to hold you, small enough to share

It lies alongside you rather than across the bed, taking roughly the space of your own outstretched arm. Works in a single through to a king, with room for a partner on the other side.

one arm's width, no more

The Nook vs a spare pillow

Most side sleepers improvise with whatever is already on the bed. It works for about twenty minutes, then it flattens, slides out, or ends up on the floor.

The Nook A spare pillow or duvet What you do now
Holds its shape all night
Supports shoulder, hip and knee together
Breathable cover that sleeps cool
Cover unzips and machine washes
Stays put instead of ending up on the floor
Thirty nights to try it at home
Questions

Before you buy

Will it actually fit in my bed, and will it annoy my partner?
It sits alongside you rather than across the bed, taking roughly the space of your own outstretched arm. It works in a single through to a king.
Is it just a big pillow?
No. A straight pillow supports one point. The curve is what lets it carry your shoulder, your hips and your knees at the same time.
Will it go flat?
It uses a high loft fill that holds its shape and flexes as you move, rather than compressing into a pancake.
Will it make me hot?
The cover is a breathable knit and the fill moves air, unlike solid foam which traps heat against you.
It arrived flat, have I been sent a dud?
It ships vacuum packed. Shake it out and leave it a few hours to reach full loft.
What if it does not work for me?
Thirty nights, full refund, free returns. No return fee and you do not need the original box. It takes a week or two to adjust, because your body is unlearning a position it has held for years, which is exactly why the trial is thirty nights rather than seven.
